Andrew R. Zaleta
Advisory Board Member
Andy Zaleta is a Partner in the Wellesley office of Battalia
Winston International. He has more than 20 years of search
experience and specializes in advanced technology executive
and board of director search assignments. The majority of
Mr. Zaleta's search assignments focus on CEO/President, board
of director and advisory board assignments for a range of
multi-million dollar through emerging (pre and post IPO) companies,
as well as start-up companies.
Before joining Battalia Winston International, Mr. Zaleta
was Managing Partner at Cornell International. Prior to Battalia
he was Managing Director at Korn/Ferry International's Boston
office and opened the Boston office for A.T. Kearney Executive
Search. As Vice President and Office Managing Director at
A.T. Kearney, he focused on senior-level engagements in all
functional areas for a wide variety of clients ranging from
start-up ventures to Fortune 1000 companies. He conducted
numerous assignments for high technology companies as they
were increasing staff to achieve substantially greater growth
and/or preparing to go public.
Mr. Zaleta's search experience includes six years with another
major global search firm, as well as ten years in his own
firm with three other partners. He started his search career
in Korn/Ferry International's Chicago office.
Upon graduation from college, Mr. Zaleta was recruited by
the Central Intelligence Agency where he worked in the Directorate
of Operations and the Directorate of Intelligence. He also
served in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Zaleta earned a B.A. in Economics from Nasson College.
He is currently a member of the advisory board of RCG and
College of Management at the University of Massachusetts,
Boston. His other professional affiliations include membership
on the board of directors of Clark/Bardes (CBC); Compensation
Resource Group, VASCO (VDSI); Trustee of the Sherwood Conservatory
of Music; Commissioner, 1995 Blue Ribbon Commission on Director
Compensation, National Association of Corporate Directors
(NACD); Commissioner, 1994 Blue Ribbon Commission on Performance
Evaluation of CEOs, Boards and Directors, NACD; Co-Chairman
of the Board, MIT Enterprise Forum of Chicago; and Member,
Professional Advisory Council, American Accounting Association.
Mr. Zaleta has spoken before the Harvard Business School's
Marketing Club, University of Massachusetts Senior Executive
Forum, MIT Sloan School of Management, Mass High Tech Pulse
Technology Association, as well as a number of informal forums
on leadership, recruitment and retention and corporate governance
issues.
