Karen Saunders has extensive experience in overseeing the accounting and logistical aspects of large corporate entities. She is a dedicated worker who brings her considerable talents to multiple areas of RCG’s daily operations.
As Vice President, Controller, and Corporate Secretary, Ms. Saunders is a member of the Executive Committee and is responsible for coordination of Regional office production, direction, and adherence to corporate established policies. She is also a member of the Audit Committee, with complete responsibility for the resolution of annual audit items. In her various roles, she prepares annual income and expense budgets, re-projects budgets, consolidates monthly financial statements, and reviews quarterly Focus Filings to ensure all FINRA and SEC Net Capital and other requirements are met. In addition to these and many other duties, she is also responsible for Risk Management and Benefit Plan Administration.
Prior to joining RCG, Ms. Saunders served as Controller for such firms as The Andrew Lauren Company, Staffing Innovations, Inc., and MARCOA Publishing & Heritage Printing. She received her B.S.B.A. with a concentration in Accounting from Louisiana State University, and her M.B.A. from National University. She is a current member of the San Diego chapters of the Controller’s Council, the Institute of Management Accountants, the American Society of Women Accountants, and the Society for Human Resource Management. She is also involved in numerous charitable organizations including the American Red Cross, the Second Harvest Food Bank for San Diego, and the American Cancer Society.
