Kenneth A. Kirk

Ken Kirk is a co-founder and CEO of RCG Vinings Consulting, an Atlanta-based consulting company. Vinings consults to major U.S. public companies and state governments on the funding, structure and reporting of their executive benefit programs and OPEB plans (other post-employment benefits).
Previously, he served as CEO of Vinings Mellon LLC and CEO of Vinings Management Corporation, where he managed the growth of the companies, acted as a Senior Consultant and managed key client relationships. While at Mellon, Ken was a senior officer of the Company, Managing Director of Mellon’s Human Resources & Investor Solutions (HR&IS) business and served on the Mellon’s HR business Executive Management Team.
Mr. Kirk has more than 25 years of experience in the retirement benefits, nonqualified benefits and benefit funding markets. His experience includes human resource management at Procter and Gamble, the co-founding and managing of a publicly-owned executive compensation consulting firm, and the establishment of Vinings Management Corporation, a nonqualified benefits consulting firm, in 1993. After forming a joint venture with Mellon Financial in 2002, he served as CEO of Vinings Mellon, was a Managing Director of Mellon’s $1 billion HR company and oversaw Mellon’s company-wide, integrated product development and sales initiatives.
Additionally Mr. Kirk has worked for many years designing, installing, and managing both benefit funding arrangements and nonqualified retirement plans for some of the country’s largest public companies. He has also worked with many of the country’s leading manufacturing and utility companies as a litigation consultant and expert witness.
Mr. Kirk attended Vanderbilt, Georgetown and George Washington Universities, and graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt in Political Science and Psychology. He is a well-known author, with publications in numerous magazines including CEO Magazine, CFO Magazine, Pension Age, Human Resource Executive, American Compensation and Association News.
