Alan Nadel
Managing Director

For over 35 years Mr. Nadel has been serving a diverse range of clients, advising on matters relating to executive and board of directors compensation, employee benefits, retirement and savings programs, and income and estate planning. He advises clients on the various aspects of executive and board of director programs, including the strategic, financial, accounting and tax considerations.

Prior to establishing Strategic Apex Group, Mr. Nadel founded the Compensation and Benefits practice at Arthur Andersen LLP, where he served as Managing Partner – Human Capital. Previously he was with the Internal Revenue Service. He is a Certified Public Accountant (New York) and received his MBA in Taxation from Bernard Baruch College, MS in Actuarial Science from New York University and BS in Mathematics from John Carroll University.

Mr. Nadel is the author of Accounting for Equity Compensation and is a co-author of the Employee Benefits Handbook, The Stock Options Book and Executive Compensation in ESOP Companies. He has lectured on Executive Compensation at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business and at the LLM program of the New York University School of Law. Additionally, he is a frequent speaker before professional and industry groups worldwide and has been quoted in numerous business publications and newspapers.

Mr. Nadel serves on the boards of the American Benefits Council, the Certified Equity Professional Institute and the New York Employee Benefits Group. His editorial board affiliations include the Compensation Planning Journal and the Journal of Compensation and Benefits.
